Transfiguration is a fanciful story placed in the Gospel of Mark between Jesus baptism and crucifixion.  It is a hint of what is to come, yet an affirmation that our glimpses of glory should drive us right down the mountain into the valleys of the shadow of death to minister in the midst of suffering - armed with the hope or resurrection. As we enter Lent this week we do so knowing the end of the story is Easter life.
